Southeast Minnesota—L2L: Resilient Yards

May 7, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$15

Following guidelines from the CDC and Minnesota Department of Health, in an effort to limit the spread of Covid-19, and for the safety of our staff, volunteers, registrants, and the larger community, this workshop will be held at its scheduled time online, through a simple live webinar format. Further information and instructions will be shared with all registrants.

A 2-hour workshop offering a framework for understanding and creating resilience, covering site planning, raingardens, turf alternatives, trees, other plantings, pollinator habitat, and more. Includes information about Lawns to Legumes, a new state program offering grants and other support to help Minnesota residents create habitat for the endangered rusty patched bumblebee and other at-risk pollinators. The presentation is followed by a short discussion/Q&A about common challenges and solutions.

This workshop is targeted towards residents in Southeast MN, but all residents (even out of state!) are welcome to register and attend. This workshop is presented by Metro Blooms on behalf of Blue Thumb and MN BWSR’s Lawns to Legumes program.  Scholarships for this workshop are available upon request—please call (651) 699-2426 to sign up.
