Turf Alternatives and Healthy Soils Workshop
September 24 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm$5
This is your one-stop-shop to understanding and installing low-maintenance lawn alternatives, and understanding the role that healthy soil serves as their foundation. We will discuss alternatives to conventional grass turf that require less watering and fewer chemical inputs, like the increasingly-popular pollinator-friendly (bee) lawn. We will also discuss the role that soil plays in the landscape—how it helps plants thrive, filter and clean water, prevent erosion and support biodiversity. Learn how to take action to grow protect healthy soil and turf in your yard. This workshop will be held online through a live webinar format, following CDC and Minnesota Department of Health guidelines to prevent spread of COVID-19.
This workshop is brought to you by Blue Thumb and supported by the Rice Creek Watershed District, Vadnais Lake Area Watershed Management Organization, and the city of White Bear Lake.
