Turf Alternatives: RCWD
May 9 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm$15
Blue Thumb’s Pollinator Lawns / Turf Alternatives Workshop is your “how-to” guide on creating a bee lawn. Learn from expert presenters about the steps to converting a traditional turfgrass monoculture lawn into a beautiful, flowering bee lawn. The workshop will also cover other turf alternatives that promote pollinator health, water quality, and natural resource conservation.
The live presentation is followed by a Q&A session. Participants will also receive access to online resources that will assist them in their project, including a series of video presentations, downloadables, and more. We recommend first skimming through our Pollinator Lawn / Alternative Turf course in our Resilient Yards Online Learning Series and then attending this live Zoom workshop to get all your questions answered!
Our expert presenter for this workshop is James Wolfin. James currently serves as a Conservation Specialist with Twin City Seed Company where he continues to develop and promote pollinator-friendly lawn alternatives.
This workshop is hosted by Rice Creek Watershed District.
