Wyoming, MN: Blue Thumb – Planting for Clean Water workshop

April 4, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Learn how to transform your yard with native gardens, raingardens, shoreline plantings, and turf alternatives that add beauty, provide habitat, and help to protect lakes, streams and wetlands.

During the workshop, our landscaping experts will share photos from local projects to inspire your creativity, and will help you practice sketching a landscape plan for your yard with tracing paper and an aerial photo.  In addition, you’ll learn about resources to help you get started, including:

  • Incentive grants for clean water planting projects

  • Free site visits

  • Garden designs and plant lists

  • Conservation plans for larger properties

This workshop is FREE but please pre-register so that we can provide an aerial photo of your property for the class. Register on-line at: tinyurl.com/wygarden2019.

Workshop partners include Comfort Lake – Forest Lake Watershed District, Chisago Soil and Water Conservation District and the East Metro Water Resource Education Program.
