DESCRIPTION:The original workshop on May 20th has been postponed due to weather. We will be hosting this workshop on Monday\, June 9th from 6-8pm. \nJoin us for an in-person workshop hosted on-site at a restored shoreline at Lions Park in White Bear Lake. Designers from Metro Blooms Design+Build will cover the importance of restoring native plants to shorelines and the impact it has on water quality and native habitat. Staff members from Rice Creek Watershed District will be on hand to share about the site and the importance of native aquatic and emergent vegetation in a restoration. \nWe will go over site assessment\, unique shoreline considerations\, native plants for shorelines and aquatic zones\, buffer plantings and more!  Participants will also receive a Resilient Shorelines workbook and access to our accompanying online learning series. \nThis workshop is hosted by the Rice Creek Watershed District. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an in-person workshop hosted at Moore Lake Park in Fridley. This hands-on workshop will focus on planning and planting a shoreline buffer. We will also discuss protecting your new plantings from herbivore pressure and install some protection measures together. Designers from Metro Blooms Design+Build will be on-hand to walk through the steps of assessing your site and planning your project and then together we will get our hands in the dirt to install some shoreline plants.
