DESCRIPTION:Learn how to care for your native plantings and rain gardens! Join us on Monday\, June 8th from 6:00-7:30 pm for an in-person Native Garden Maintenance Workshop in the Lynnhurst neighborhood. \nThis hands-on workshop led by Jen Ehlert of Metro Blooms Design+Build will cover practices for keeping your native plantings thriving\, and your native rain gardens functioning their best. Get guidance for identifying native plants\, managing weeds\, timing for garden maintenance activities throughout the year\, assessing rain garden functionality and more. \nThis workshop is hosted by the City of Minneapolis and the Lynnhurst Neighborhood. Our registration fee is based on a pay-what-you-can model. A suggested registration fee of $15 continues to support our programming\, while an amount over $15 supports workshop participants who are unable to afford the fee at this time.  \n  \nAccess Information: \n\nThis workshop will be hosted in-person\, outside in a residential yard with native plantings and rain gardens. We will spend time standing\, walking\, and practicing hands-on maintenance in the garden.\nGloves and hand tools will be provided; you are welcome to bring your own gardening tools\, folding chairs\, or anything else that will make you comfortable in the space. Light snacks and water will be available.\nOn-street parking is available in the neighborhood surrounding the workshop site. The closest public transport is a bus stop at Lyndale/W 46th St serviced by routes 4\, 4B and 46A. \n\n
