Planting for Clean Water: Shorelines – Rice Creek Watershed District

May 20 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$15
Cardinal flower and blue lobelia blooming on a shoreline

Join us for an in-person workshop hosted on-site at a restored shoreline at Lions Park in White Bear Lake. Designers from Metro Blooms Design+Build will cover the importance of restoring native plants to shorelines and the impact it has on water quality and native habitat. Staff members from Rice Creek Watershed District will be on hand to share about the site and the importance of native aquatic and emergent vegetation in a restoration.

We will go over site assessment, unique shoreline considerations, native plants for shorelines and aquatic zones, buffer plantings and more!  Participants will also receive a Resilient Shorelines workbook and access to our accompanying online learning series.

This workshop is hosted by the Rice Creek Watershed District. Registration fees for residents of Rice Creek Watershed District will be waived. Find out if you are in the Rice Creek Watershed District here
