Resilient Yards: City of Minneapolis

April 23 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Gain resources and guidance for creating beautiful habitat for pollinators, protecting clean water, and restoring the ecology of your yard! Participants will learn do-it-yourself skills for assessing your yard and creating a project plan. Also learn about ways to redirect runoff, select and place native trees and shrubs, design a native garden, incorporate turf alternatives, and more!

During this workshop, participants meet in small groups with landscape designers and Master Gardeners to get feedback on their project plans and learn about local resources for getting their projects in the ground.

To provide attendees with as much project assistance as possible, this workshop is split into two parts: 1) a self-paced Resilient Yards online course, which you will find in our Resilient Yards Online Learning Series, and 2) a live Zoom session with one-on-one time with Landscape Designers where you can get feedback on your yard and planting project. The Resilient Yards online course was created so you can go through all the foundational educational content on your own in preparation for your Zoom workshop session.

This workshop is hosted by the City of Minneapolis.
