Resilient Yards + Shorelines: Hosted by West Metro Water Alliance

September 5 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

The Resilient Yards + Shorelines Workshop covers fundamentals that Minnesotans need for protecting water quality near their home and in their community. Topics include: site assessments, rain gardens, types of upland and shoreline projects, plant selection tips, regulatory reminders, and more! This in-person workshop will take place at Fish Lake Regional Park in Maple Grove.

The workshop will include a 90 minute presentation given by Metro Blooms Design + Build staff alongside local water resource experts, followed by an opportunity to ask site specific questions, get expert advice and receive resources to install practices on your own property!

This workshop will specifically address topics in the context of Fish Lake and we highly encourage community members living on Fish Lake or within its watershed to sign up for this workshop. If this date does not work for your schedule, you are welcome to sign up for the workshop on 9/10/2024 that will be focusing on Eagle Lake. This workshop is free for all attendees.

This workshop is hosted by the West Metro Water Alliance in partnership with the Elm Creek Watershed Management Commission and the City of Maple Grove.
