Fall Native Plant Sale
It’s planting season — again! Fall is one of the best times to plant native perennials, and Blue Thumb is here to help you do it right.
Join us at our first Blue Thumb Fall Native Plant Sale to stock up on native flowers, grasses, and shrubs from native plant nurseries Ecoscapes, Blazing Star Gardens, MNL, and Northern Holler Nursery.
Whether you’re starting a new pollinator garden or expanding an existing one, you’ll find all the native plants you need in one place — plus free design templates and planting guidance from Blue Thumb.

Why Plant Native in Fall?
- Warm soil + cooler temps = stress-free root growth
- Less watering needed once they’re in the ground
- Plants get established before winter, giving them a head start next spring
- Learn more and get fall planting tips from our blog post!
Day-Of Tips
- The plant sale takes place from 10 AM – 1 PM (or until plants sell out). The earlier you arrive, the more plants will be available. We will not admit anyone to the plant sale before 10 AM. Some of our nurseries are accepting pre-orders now — secure your order via the nursery links above.
- Enter the Valley Community Presbyterian Church parking lot through the Lilac Drive N entrance. There will be signs and volunteers directing you to the correct entrance point. Park in the designated parking area.
- Stop by the Blue Thumb Welcome Tent to grab planting resources and get your questions answered. Next, pick up or purchase your plants!
- Consider bringing your own wagon or cardboard boxes to easily carry your new plants. Please respect any lines. Grab a coffee or lunch from Misfit Coffee and Muddy Tiger to enjoy while you are waiting!
- When you are done for the day, a volunteer might ask you to complete a quick survey. Exit via Lowry Terrace.
