Green Workforce: Sustainable Landcare Training
How the Program Works
We partner with community and environmental organizations and local governments to offer this training to local young people, tailoring the program to each partner’s needs. We help our partners deliver the virtual learning experience on our platform. Then participants get some hands-on experience with our expert staff at a predetermined raingarden site. The total training could fit into one week. The program offers the following modules: Stormwater 101, Raingardens, Native Plants, Weedy & Introduced Plants, and Inspection & Reporting. Participants receive a certificate when they complete it. We are also working to connect this program to apprenticeship opportunities with Blue Thumb Partners and others, and mapping next-step educational and career pathways for easy access once the training is completed.
Who Else Is This Training For?
We also offer this program for people already working in the field. Are you or your staff required to inspect, report on, and maintain raingardens and native plantings? You could benefit from this training. Please reach out with any questions.
