Year 2: the plants are huge and we have strawberries! The deer are messing with me all the time, but fishing line fencing and Deer Off helps. The massive rains this year have meant I haven’t watered the garden once. I can’t wait to see everything in bloom.
70 plants is a lot to plant! This project just made me want to do more and more and have less and less grass. I’ve since added 3 more projects and as I see what comes up, I will add to this one as well to round out areas where things didn’t come back.
Many of my coneflowers and sunflowers didn’t come back, and I can’t believe how much the strawberry is spreading.
