Very sunny area with some dry areas like underneath larger trees to shade the plants. It was fun going to the nursery and picking out the plants to bring home. We had the plants delivered, so we didn’t have to mess with that. Finding places to plant them was a challenge because our backyard is full of different types of trees and plants.
We planted the new shrubs and flowers and made sure we watered them on a regular basis. That is the most important thing to remember after planting new editions to your landscape is to water regularly the first three years after planting. I chose to plant Red Twigged Dogwood Bushes(They are very tall after only one year), Glossy Black Chokeberry (which is turning a bright orange right now), Blazing star and Star Prairie plants.
Wildlife Observed
We’ve had numerous bees and birds visiting these plants.
