Under a maple tree. The hardest part was to remove the existing grass. If I had to do it again I’d smother the grass first, still fighting it. I installed a soaker hose when I planted, I think it helped and I didn’t lose any plants until spring.
I need to add something that blooms in the middle of the season besides the prairie phlox and I need to wait and see if I need to cut back something that spreads too fast. Overall very happy. My favorite are Large Flowering Beardtongue and Rue Anemone
Wildlife Observed
Butterflies, bees, bumblebees.
