I contacted a local nursery that specializes in native plants. They recommended a flat of 50 plants that was a great starter kit for me. I’m very happy with the plants, however I now know that the deer or rabbits are also happy with some of the plant selections. In hindsight, I should have suspected they could be an issue and should have informed the nursery about that.
I enjoy seeing the variety of plants, it’s a great replacement for lawn grasses. Right after finishing this garden (2023) I started working up a 12,000 sq ft area that will be seeded this Fall with Pollinator-Palooza Seed Mix.

Wildlife Observed

Bees and butterflies have visited the garden.
