Our new construction home on a lake also has 4 acres of woods that are hilly. When a new septic system was put in it created a large cut out of a hill. I used native plants, shrubs, ground covers to prevent erosion.
We have sandy soil mixed with black dirt.
In one year the growth has been incredible.
Wildlife Observed
Bees, butterflies, deer, rabbits, chipmunks, black bear and raccoons.
