Request a Coach

The Lawns to Legumes: Habitat at Home program is partnering with volunteers across the state to provide some one-on-one support for program participants as coaches. Volunteer coaches are a mix of Master Gardeners, Minnesota Water Stewards, former Lawns to Legumes grantees, and conservation staff. They all share an enthusiasm for native plants and planting for pollinators.

While we would love to be able to match every participant with a coach, we can’t always meet every request. Plus, not everyone finds they need a coach to complete their projects! Participants who will likely benefit the most from talking with a coach are beginner gardeners.

Our coaches offer guidance and advice based on their experience and with the help of many amazing resources. Matched coaches and participants will work together to decide how best to meet, whether in person or virtually.

Anyone who is not matched with a coach can still get their questions answered about installing pollinator-friendly plantings through the online community forum The Hive, by attending our monthly educational webinars, or by submitting questions to Lawns to Legumes program staff at l2lhelp@bluethumb.org.

The deadline to request a coach is Sunday, August 2.
