Water resources management is the responsibility of the Carver County Water Management Organization (CCWMO). The CCWMO’s tasks include planning, funding regulating, monitoring, and implementation the Water Management Plan, in the following watersheds: Beven’s Creek, Carver Creek, East and West Chaska Creek, Pioneer Sarah and the Crow River. The Carver County’s Water Organizations is guided by it’s Water Management Plan that is dedicated to protecting, preserving and managing the county’s surface and groundwater systems in the midst of rapid growth and intensive agricultural activity. Through this plan, programs and projects are developed an executed to improve water quality and increase awareness about water resources, conservation, and best management practices.
