The Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District (RWMWD) is a special purpose unit of local government that manages water resources on a watershed basis. The District was established in 1975. Covering 65 square miles, RWMWD includes all or part of 12 cities in Ramsey and Washington counties. Our vision: Water resources and related ecosystems are managed to sustain their long-term health and integrity and to enable them to contribute to the well-being of the citizens within the watershed.
