Notes/Description:
Densely-clumped, cool-season perennial sedge that may reach 3' in height. Fox sedge is used in upper shoreline zones, streambank stabilization and vegetated swales. It is an excellent colonizer for wetland mitigation sites since it is a pioneer species that tends to revegetate wet, open sites soon after disturbance. It will do well in landscapes and rain gardens due to its clump form, tolerance to water fluctuation and slow rate of spread.
