Loamy sand, moderate moisture. I used a paper weed barrier and covered it with hardwood mulch and that has made a HUGE difference. In the past I have just mulched, and the weeds have been a headache. I also amended the soil with a lot of compost. I planted this garden in spring of 23 and these photos are from fall 23. So much growth in the first year!
Wildlife Observed
Monarchs, various species of bees and bumblebees, many bird species, including goldfinches for the first time!! My yard is abuzz and it’s the best.
