Midwestern Native Shade and Evergreen Trees Class – Kansas City

Learn about the best native shade and evergreen trees and how they can help create healthy and sustainable landscapes for people and all of life.

Alan Branhagen, Horticulture Director at Powell Gardens, leads the class, which will cover how to grow the trees, their best use in the landscape, and ornamental beauty (from flowers to bark and fruit). The first part of the class (9-10:15 a.m.) will be a PowerPoint program followed by a walk (10:30-noon) to see the trees in Powell Gardens’ landscape.
